Connect to Additional Support
Aboriginal Health Coordinators support Aboriginal peoples in navigating the healthcare system & accessing cultural wellness resources. Services are available to anyone in Kootenay Boundary self-identifying as Aboriginal (status or non-status First Nations, Métis, Inuit). Referrals are welcomed from health care practitioners, community partners, and through self-referral.
Meet the Aboriginal Community Health Team
Held by the Circle of Indigenous Nations Society (COINS), in partnership with Interior Health & the Kootenay Boundary Primary Care Network, the Aboriginal Community Health Team plays an integral role in supporting culturally safe care throughout the region. Meet the team and learn more about what they offer.
